Authorities have identified Expavious Tyrell Taylor, 20, of Okeechobee, as the victim of Saturday night's shooting at Zombicon in downtown Fort Myers.

Four surviving victims were taken to the Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Lt. Victor Medico of the Fort Myers Police Department, and a sixth victim has been announced this morning. That unidentified victim suffered from a gunshot-wound laceration and refused medical attention.

The shooter was still at large Sunday morning, police said.

Taylor graduated from Clewiston High School in May and was listed on the roster at ASA College, a junior college in Miami, as an offensive lineman. According to Clewiston High's roster, Taylor was a 6-foot-4, 240-pound offensive lineman/defensive end his senior year for the Tigers.

ZombiCon, an annual event in its ninth year, was expected to have drawn more than 20,000 people.

"There was a lot of witnesses down here, there were a lot of people taking pictures, videos with their cellphone," Medico said. "Anything that could help with this investigation would be greatly appreciated."

Hundreds flee packed Florida ZombiCon as gunfire strikes five people, killing one

Gunfire struck five people, killing one person, at ZombiCon in Fort Myers, Fla., sending hundreds of people running for their lives. The suspect fled as panicked ghoulish attendees heard about six to seven shots in what police described as a "shoulder to shoulder" crowd just before midnight, witnesses said. One such witness saw first responders leaning over at least one person on the ground — and another covered by a white sheet along the 2200 block of First Street. “I just saw somebody on the floor. They were all dead and the cops were saying, ‘get back, get back,’ and everybody was all rioting and crap,” another witness told WFTX-TV.

But....there are fast zombies too. Why did no one rush the shooter?

Or, if the others had guns, this wouldn't have happened.

Or, some other idiotic excuse the pro-gun lobby comes up with.

Wait....those are the only two options, right? Seriously, I'd like the pro-gun people to come up with reasons why more people aren't rushing the shooters. It's not as though rushing the gunman is illegal....what about all the concealed carry people? Why in the name of the seven seas aren't they protecting us?

Instead, all we get is talk, talk, talk about how guns save lives, and people carry for defense. And now we have another dead, and several wounded. Big talk from the gun lobby.

The guys at work show a lot of practical joke videos during lunch break.  A lot of them are people dressed up as monsters, zombies, etc. and chasing unsuspecting people.
My comment was, " I am surprised no one shoots them."

Unstable people with guns.

Seems it happens everyday in the USA now.
