Archaeological treasures from Peru’s northern coast will go on display in French museums.

A collection of artifacts recovered from the Moche sites of Huaca de la Luna, Huaca El Brujo and Sipán, as well as the Lambayeque sites of Túcume and Chotuna-Chornancap, is expected to form a temporary, traveling exhibition in French museums in 2015, according to Andina.

The star of the exhibition, being planned by the Ministry of Culture, will be the objects recovered from the tomb of the Priestess of Chornancap. The priestess is believed to have been a female ruler of the Lambayeque (also known as Sican) culture. Discovered in 2011, the tomb contained priceless jewelry and spondylus shells.

Officials are also working to help local artisans sell traditional weavings and other handicrafts from Lambayeque. A new arts center has been built near the Chotuna-Chornancap archaeological complex, 12 kilometers west of Chiclayo. According to legend, the city was settled by Naylamp, the founder of the Lambayeque culture.
