A French village is preparing for an influx of mystical groups who are convinced they will escape the end of the world in 2012.

Rumours have been circulating since 2010 that the village of Bugarach, with a population of 200, will provide shelter from an impending Armageddon.

Wendy Urquhart reports.

Blasphemy is a victimless crime.
"The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as His father, in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter."     Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823 -Thomas Jefferson
