'Alien Corpse' Discovered: Woman In Russia Hides Extraterrestrial In The Fridge

What would you do if you found an alien? Would you fight it? Take it to the government? Sell the rights to Steven Spielberg?

One woman in Russia had a better idea recently when she found what she thought might be the body of an extraterrestrial lifeform.

She put it in the fridge.

Marta Yegorovnam, from the city of Petrozavodsk, reportedly kept the body of an alien for two years after a UFO crash near to her summer house in 2009.

According to the story, the woman picked through the wreckage of the craft until she found the alien's corpse which, judging by the photos of the beast, is shaped like a small humanoid fish.

The website Unexplained Mysteries reported that the woman was visited recently by two men from the 'Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences'.

Which is convenient both if you think the story is a hoax... and if you think it isn't, really.

Visitors to Unexplained Mysteries seemed unconvinced, however.

One dubbed the find "invasion of the frog people". Another said "it doesn't look like your stereotypical alien so at least they tried".

There have been several other claims of UFO sightings in Russia in recent years, including video shot of a 'UFO' featuring five figures (presumably alien) walking around in the snow.

The paranormal writer Michael Cohen found the footage and posted it online. According to the Daily Mail Cohen said: "This could be an elaborate hoax, however the possibility that this might be a genuine alien should not be discounted.

"Russia is a hotbed of UFO activity and possible alien craft has been tracked by both military and civilian agencies."

Another alien hoax hit Russia recently when two teenagers claimed to have found an alien that turned out to be made of bread.

We've gathered these and some of Russia's other best UFO mysteries in the slideshow, below.

The alien in Yegorovnam's fridge was taken away by the Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Which for avoidance of doubt does appear to exist.

The alien in its final resting place: a fridge in Russia. A long way from home it must have seemed too.

Russian Alien Video

This video was made in Russia and initially was heralded by some as evidence of an alien invasion. It was later asserted that the alien was made of bread wrapped in chicken skin.

UFO Circles Kremlin

This video was taken and appears to show a UFO circling above the Kremlin. It was dismissed by skeptics, as you will understand when you watch it.

Lights In The Russian Sky

These lights were filmed above Russia and posted to YouTube in 2011. They don't show anything very conclusive, but the aliens are probably there if you want to see them.
