Art Director. Born in Bremen, Germany on August 15th. 1885. Died in Bernardsville, New Jersey 24th. October 1966.
Studied engineering and architecture at Munich University. Served in the German army during World War One, then became an art director for UFA/EFA studios in 1919. From 1923 to 1928 Dreier became the head designer and supervising art director at the studio until he relocated to America and joined Hollywood's Paramount studios where he would remain until his retirement in 1957.
Received Academy Awards for FRENCHMAN'S CREEK (1945), SUNSET BOULEVARD (1950) and SAMSON AND DELILAH (1950).

Born Carl Theodor Dreyer in Copenhagen, Denamark 3rd February 1889. Died 20th March 1968. His first job had been as a pianist in a cafe in Copenhagen. Then in 1909 he became a journalist, and later in 1911, he became a title-writer for Nordisk Films, and soon graduated up to scripting, editing, and then directing his first film THE PRESIDENT in 1919.

Born in England in 1908. Died in 1985.
The son of actor Franklin Dyall (1874-1950) and actress Phyllis Logan. Valentine's output was spread evenly between the cinema and the stage. In the 1940's, his sinister resounding voice secured him many fans who would listen each week to a radio series of thrillers presented by "The Man in Black".
Valentine was still working up to the time of his death, one of his last credits appears in the first "Blackadder" series.*

Light leading man of the Thirties. A former insurance clerk who made his stage debut with a Shakespearian company at Stratford-On-Avon in 1927. Made his Broadway debut during 1929 and then settled in America. Married four times, including to Helen Chandler and Diana Barrymore. Retired from feature films in 1943 and concentrated on stage work and made over 200 appearances on television.
Most memorable for his brief encounter with Im-Ho-Tep in 1932's THE MUMMY.
