Great stuff, Unknown, you have a really nice sense of light and dark.

Boy, do I miss Buffy being on TV. I used to watch it all the time.  I was hoping that there would be a spinoff show with Faith, but, of course that never happened. Didn't like his other show, Firefly. Angel was pretty cool, though.

Buffy was great, they had really good writers working on that show, its not easy to pull off all that crazy over the stop stuff and not have the characters becoming two dimensional.

You are an excellent artist, Unknown, and I used to meet a lot of them at school.  I used to model for life drawing classes and it was interesting getting to see all the work of the students.  I studied design and art history in school myself.  Did you go to school for either art or writing?

Peace,

Veronica

Hi Veronica

Thanks

Its really nice to hear you say that, I went to a college for commercial art, I always admired the models(not like that!) because from my perspective I thought it took a lot of guts to disrobe in front of a room full of strangers.

I was saying earlier that I gave away a lot of my drawings to the models, I remember the first day the teacher took all the pictures and laid them on the floor and I was just standing there looking at them and the teachers says, "Yours aren't the best," I hadn't said a word. I think we both new they were, why else would he say that? Not bragging just a fact. I had to take writing classes for my web design degree, but it was all like papers and journals, some flash fiction and poetry.

But what I really enjoyed was speech class, there is nothing like having an audience.

I really want to go to the art school they have here CCS but it is ridicuously expensive.

I actually liked posing for the art classes, I had no inhibitions about showing my body, and I still pose for some artist friends of mine upon occasion - both photographers and artists.  You're only young once, so you might as well make the most of what you've been given while you have the opportunity.  I also think think that people tend to make too much of the human body, it is art, after all, I reject the idea that nudity in itself equals pornography.

It sounds like your instructor wanted to be hard on you because he knew you had talent and was trying to get you to work harder. They are always hard on the good ones.  When they don't have much of a reaction to your work, that's when you are in trouble.

It's a pity that all art is done on the coimputer these days, sort of takes the talent part out of it.

Well

Paintings a lot harder on the computer, it is so hard to get smooth curves with a mouse I end of having to keep painting and painting to redine the shape.

Its quite difficult. There are a lot of cool effects you can use, nut what I like about it is you can save, so if you screw up, you can just go back to where you saved. If your painting with traditional methods or ink its much harder to fix a mistake, a lot of times if you make a mistake it is ruined entirely. Another good thing about it is, I don't have to spend a fortune on art supplies. paint brushes canvas etc.

I use a version Corel photo-paint that I got way back in 95,
