Casey Anthony found not guilty of murdering daughter

She ended up getting acquitted after supposedly it seemed they had "iron clad evidence" on her.

I mean how many "high profile" murder cases are in this country to begin with, but very few of them get national attention?

BREAKING NEWS
ORLANDO, Fla. — After a trial that riveted the nation with its twists and turns, Casey Anthony was found not guilty on Tuesday of murdering her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.

..Anthony held back tears as the verdict was read and then held her face and hugged her chief lawyer, Jose Baez.

The only counts Anthony was guilty of were for providing false information to investigators. Judge Belvin Perry said he would sentence her on those four counts on Thursday morning.

Each count carries a maximum of one year in prison. If convicted of all four counts, Anthony could receive a sentence of four years if the sentence for each count is run consecutively. She could also get credit for time served.

The jury deliberated for more than 10 hours over the last two days — and after hearing 33 days of testimony.

The 12 jurors on Monday spent about six hours dissecting the case following a rebuttal summation by the prosecution. Perry separated the main jury of seven women and five men from five alternates and sent them into the deliberation room just after noon.

Prosecutors argued Monday morning that Anthony killed her daughter in June 2008 because the toddler interrupted her carefree partying and love life.

Roll Eyes   Score one for the cuntra-culture of America.    Angry

If a child died in my custody I couldn't live with myself, whether I did it directly or not.  The guilt alone would be unbearable.

However that's the new c*ntra-feminism where women have the right to be as irresponsible as they want to be.  Especially here in Florida where women stay mentally equivalient to teenagers until their 40s.

A sad day for America indeed.

Hopefully, little Caylee will be reincarnated into a family that can and will actually care for her if the God of the universe is also a God of justice.    Cry Cry Cry

So sad.

You don't know how much she had to do with her daughter's death, you are just believing the smears told in the media.  Obviously, the evidence against her wasn't that great, else she wouldn't be found innocent.

She may not be guilty of murder, but even NY attorneys that were on TV were wondering why she wasn't charged with negligent homicide at least.

I hear she is planning on relocating to Texas.  She might want to try getting a new identity first.

The fact that she wrote a slew of letters about wanting more children was laughable last night.  She was like either by birth or by adoption.  Even the newscaster was like "What 'crack-addict' adoption agency is going to even allow her to do that ?"   Grin

The prosecution was trying too hard to prove murder when then should have been trying to prove negligent homicide or at the very least manslaughter.  If lawyers are out of work due to this recession they should probably try to apply down here in Florida.

Of course now Casey Anthony has to go to court in a civil suit where this ine nanny is unable to find work cuz of her slanderous lies.  So this too will be intresting to watch.

Yeah, here is the problem with all that:  you didn't sit through the case in court, neither did any of those supposed expert New York attorneys who were all on TV. Nancy Grace is a pompous airhead. The evidence was weak!  The prosecution couldn't even say how she died for sire, so how do they know who did it?

The media is completely full of sh*it in this country.  They always villify someone before the trial starts, gets everyone all worked up, so when the evidence doesn't stand up, whoa, suddenly, it's the jury's fault!  People thought the Duke Lacrosse team, Michael Jackson and Jon Benet Ramsay's parents were all guilty, and they were all either never charged or won their trials.

JUST BECAUSE YOU GET ARRESTED FOR A CRIME DOESN'T MEAN YOU DID IT.

IN AMERICA, THERE IS A PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Some of these dumb*asses need to stop reading the tabloid press and start reading the actual court documents. It might make a world of difference.

This case leads a bad reference for all the future cases.

I fear all unfit parents now will just realize that all it takes is just buying time by hiding the body, let the corpse decompose, get rid of any evidence and set cops on multiple wild phantom chases for them to get away with it now.

Of course they passed a law in Florida that if you wait more than 10 days before reporting a child missing you can be charged with a FELONY.  So at least some good came from this.  Caylee's Law.

There's no motive or evidence linking her to the killing.  I don't know why she didn't report it earlier, but you can't link someone to murder if there is no evidence.

Her father was a cop, don't you think he had a part in the whole thing as far as destroying evidence.

Think of what Dexter does week to week.  He murders all these bad people and no cop can catch him cuz he leaves no evidence behind.  Plus he's got the police gear to make sure he does a real pro job so the cops can't detect him.

This is what George either did himself or had done.

Of course I can't prove it but dollars to doughnuts says he did.

Casey should have at least have been charged with neglect.
