Since 1989 I am publishing on the opinion that Plato's description of the war of the Atlanteans refers to the wars of the Sea Peoples. Since 2003 I am publishing also on the view that Plato's description of the geography of Atlantis refers to Tartessos. My views found some media interest since 2004.

Very comprehensive, I saw the documentary, "Finding Atlantis" and didn't see any good evidence of Tartessos in Spain, though, nor any direct link that Tartessos actually was Atlantis other than they were both very wealty.  Also, scholars seem to believe that the Sea People came from the east, not the west.

Surely, Georgeos Diaz-Montexano must get some credit for this theory as he was the originator of this location hypothesis.

Good work!  Sadly, Tartessos lacks the dimensions described by Plato, however.

Also, Tartessos is much more recent.  In fact, I believe that Tartessos was still around when Solon received the story in Sais.  Perhaps the intention is that Plato used a variety of ideas to create his Atlantis.  In that case, the hypothesis may as well be that Atlantis did not exist at all.
