A Florida woman is accused of robbing her dead boyfriend.

It was nothing, darling … Just one little extra zero

Teresa Lynee McDonald of Navarre was arrested on grand theft, forgery and fraud charges after police said she withdrew $23,740 from her boyfriend’s bank account after he died in February, Northwest Florida Daily News reports. It was unclear how the man died.
The 49-year-old woman is accused of forging her boyfriend’s name on checks to cover funeral expenses, pay household bills, catch up on property taxes and make repairs to her home and car, according to Santa Rosa County sheriffs.

Scatter brained

McDonald told deputies that she is so “scatter brained” that she accidentally added an extra zero to a check she meant to write for $100.

Police didn’t buy her story.
