Which of These Statements Are Racist?

This is not really a test but is, rather, an opportunity for us to explain our views on a sensitive subject. 

Here are four similar statements.  Which, if any, are racist? 
It would also be helpful if you could explain your choice(s).

1.   I hate pygmies because they are short.
2.   I hate pygmies because they are tall.
3.   I love pygmies because they are short.
4.   I love pygmies because they are tall.

Well, they're all racist. Anytime you like or hate something just based on their race enforces a stereotype. The worst are the ones with negative connotations, of course.
