Thank you thank you one and all......  Bianca, hope your birthday was perfect!  I celebrate for the whole month!

My dear friend Sarah is taking me out to my favorite tea-room, Twigs, for a lovely tea.  Twigs is owned by a Brit friend, Marilyn, and is right on the water in downtown Port Townsend so one can watch all the sailboats and the ferry going by.

I am moving into my new residence these days.... All is well!

Yes, Rocky.  I celebrate for a few weeks too.  I use it as an excuse to buy myself all the
"goodies" that  I have been resisting buying, for various reasons.....

I had a really lovely day, with all my "girls".  But they all have really nice men as partners.
Still, it would have been nice to have at least ONE male offspring.....

You must tell us all about your new home.  It sounds just great.

Too bad we're at the opposite shores of the country, I would love to celebrate our special day
together with you.....

Nice, very scenic. What kind of storms do you have out in Port Townsend, since it's so close to the water?  I think how hard the people in Florida and Louisiana must have it all the time.  But the west coast never gets those types of storms, does it?

Well, Jennifer, we in Florida are 'used' to it.  After 'hurricane season' passes, the rest of the
year is more than worth it.  I really don't like snow and cold weather and start shivering when
the thermometer hits about 65deg.

I'm in St. Petersburg, right on the Gulf of Mexico and, as far as I am concerned, it is way prettier
than the Atlantic Coast.  But that's alright, the less tourists the better.  Older residents are not
as prevalent as they used to be and the people are now quite nicely homogenized.  Very much like
the rest of the country.  There is a lot of archaeological activity that goes on, too.  The University
of Florida at Tampa (just across the Bay) does a lot of interesting work.

When I came here almost twenty years ago, from the Washington (D.C.) area, I thought this was
such a 'provincial' place, but it has come along quite nicely - unless one chafes too much at the
prevalent conservative  (republican/fundy ) mindset.....

Rocky, I wish.....I have always wanted to visit the West Coast, especially the Northern part.  I only
made it as far as Calgary, Alberta and never made it to the Pacific.
