Modern technology has not been able to identify a Saxon object which was uncovered at a Kent archaeological dig.

Experts at the Canterbury Archaeological Trust found the silver, bronze and wooden disc at The Mead in Sittingbourne.

Despite using microscopes, X-rays and library research experts have not been able to identify it or its use so far.
