Sons and Brothers: The Inside Story of Bobby and Jack (Paperback)
Richard D. Mahoney
BuzzFlash.com's Review (excerpt)

Readers of BuzzFlash.com know that we are not big on conpiracy theories. That's because we are interested in the facts. Questions about government actions exist in abundance, and we ask many of them.

But it is hard to come up with fixed answers because we don't know them, since the forces that people speculate about offer an alternative narrative about events. In short, whatever contrary evidence exists is most often buried so deep that we don't have access to it.

Sometimes, we know bits of information. For instance, it is on record that Bush and Rice were warned of hijackings by Al-Qaeda during the summer preceding 9/11 -- yet, they chose to take no preventative actions whatsoever. In fact, Bush went on a month-long vacation to this Texas ranch. This is documentation of gross negligence and malfeasance at a minimum.

But do we have evidence that the Bush Neo-Cons planned 9/11? No, although those in the 9/11 "truth movement" adamantly claim so. Is it possible? With the Busheviks, a false flag operation is surely possible, but we don't have proof of it, only speculation. Therefore, a PNAC staged 9/11 attack is an intriguing theory, but remains just that.

As a result, we are left with much doubt about events such as 9/11, the Kennedy assassinations, the shooting of Dr. Martin Luther King, and so on. We know there is much more as to the cause of the events, but we can't be sure of exactly what we don't know.

Because we are denied full information (as we were in the Warren Commission and the "official" 9/11 "investigation"), we are left to speculate about the truth.

As a result, we have no definitive information, just a broad range of theories. One or more of the theories may be accurate; we just don't know which one.

Which brings us to the assassination of John F. Kenney, which occurred more than 40 years ago.

Recently, credible speculation has re-emerged by a variety of individuals who have analyzed government records released over the past two decades. Some of this speculation has begun to line up strongly behind a viewpoint that JFK was killed by a plot involving the anti-Castro exiles, the mob, and rogue CIA agents.

In fact, there is highly credible evidence that Bobby Kennedy himself believed that just such a group of conspirators were behind the death of his brother -- and that RFK held himself responsible for creating the circumstances that led to the murder.

Is such a theory true? We don't know, but the book "Sons and Brothers" offers a fascinating insight to the relationship between John and Robert Kennedy. It's not about their assassinations per se, but it does offer an inside look into their actions and political strategies that might have led to their deaths.

In short, although it was written several years ago, it adds to a growing school of thought that a perfect storm of forces within America, who felt betrayed by JFK and RFK, led to the assassination in Dallas.

But, "Sons and Brothers" is primarily a quick-moving portrayal of how JFK and RFK worked as a team in governance and family alike.

Most of the book is about their unique relationship, not the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Other Reviews
"Richard D. Mahoney began writing Sons and Brothers because of a simple truth: the instant Robert Kennedy received the news that his brother had been murdered in Dallas, Bobby believed he himself was responsible. The partnership that had brought Bobbyand Jack to the pinnacle of power-the fulfillment of their father's lifelong aspirations-would be the partnership that brought them down. Sons and Brothers is intimate, powerful, and persuasive, an American epic and an American tragedy."
