Hudson Terminal Buildings In Lower Manhattan

(The Buildings that were in the World Trade Center site prior to its building)

 Title:
Hudson Terminal Buildings In Lower Manhattan
Caption:    View of lower Manhattan, early 1900s. The pair of nearly identical buildings are the Hudson Terminal Buildings (also known as the H&M, or Hudson and Manhattan Railroad, Terminal Buildings), the building with the steeply sloped roof at center is the City Investment Building, and the tower in the rear is the spire of the Singer Building. The area in the foreground, which included Radio Row (named for its heavy concentration of radio and electronics stores), along with the H&M and City Investment buildings was razed in 1966 to make way for the development of the World Trade Center. The Singer Building was demolished two years later, in 1968. (Photo by George Eastman House/Getty Images)
