The 200 MPG Carburetor

When I was a teenager I first heard this story. It seems a neighbor of a friend of a friend, etc., knew of a man who bought a new car (variations of the story range from the 1940s to the 1970s). Shortly after taking delivery he noticed the car was getting fantastic gas mileage (some stories say 50 mpg, some say as much as 200 mpg!). His fuel gauge didn't move from the full mark until he had traveled many miles, so he opened the hood to see if something might be wrong with his gauge wiring.

What he saw after removing the air filter was a strange-looking carburetor. In fact, it didn't look like a carburetor at all, but rather like a "black box." He kept driving the car for a few months and found he continued to get fantastic, unheard-of mileage. Eventually, as the story goes, he was contacted by the factory.

The factory representative showed up at his house and explained that an experimental carburetor was inadvertently installed in a production car and sold to him, but the factory wanted it back. Discussions ensued, with the result that the owner of the car got a top-of-the-line car in trade, plus some cash as long as he signed a disclosure agreement.

You've all heard some variation of this story, all of which have one thing in common: it never happened!

We like to believe stories like this because they satisfy the "conspiracy-oriented" or "feel good" desires in our collective psyche, but the cold truth of the matter is that no manufacturer ever developed such a carburetor. You may have believed the story if you heard it, but If you stop to consider some basic factors you'll quickly realize how silly it is:

    * Gasoline has only so much energy that can be converted to power, short of converting its energy in a thermonuclear blast. There are mathematical formulas for theoretical limits to mileage, based on vehicle weight, coefficient of drag, engine size, etc. and 200 (or 100, for that matter) miles per gallon is out of the question for any vehicle that can carry several passengers safely. A moped can do it, but not a car.
    * If a super-efficient carburetor could have been developed it would have been. Engineers wouldn't have moved over to electronically-programmed fuel injection systems if they could have accomplished the same efficiency with a carburetor. The high pressure fuel pump in a modern car costs the factory more than a carburetor would alone. Add to that cost the injectors, computer, wiring, hoses, etc., and you can quickly see that cost-conscious manufacturers have no easy alternative.
    * Automakers wouldn't be working so hard today to increase mileage if there were a simple solution to achieving it. Weight savings, sophisticated cylinder firing systems, hybrid drivetrains, etc., all exist to squeeze every tenth of a mile they can out of a gallon of gas.

There are a host of other good reasons why this myth can't be true, but stories such as this one persist and are believed by millions of people. Mythology is part of the human experience throughout history, so maybe it serves to make life more livable or less mysterious.

Whatever list of myths in which you might still believe, please remove the 200-mpg carburetor from it.

Dr Steven Greer of the Disclosure Project is almost too well-known in the UFO research community to require an introduction. His ground-breaking Press Conference, in Washington in May 2001, was one of a number of influential factors which inspired us to found Project Camelot five years later. Our intention was to support his initiative and add further momentum, and information, to the disclosure moment at a grass-roots level.

Yet, all was not well. Whenever a correspondent wrote to Steven Greer asking him about Project Camelot, they received a standard letter back from his office stating that Project Camelot was disinformation. And despite being extremely accessible on the UFO Conference circuit over the last three years, we had never once had the chance to meet or speak with him.

Since we were all attending the Barcelona Exopolitics Summit in July 2009, we were looking forward, at last, to the opportunity to talk. More than one person in his entourage was also supportive of our meeting, as they themselves had been following Camelot's work for long enough to know that our intentions were honorable.

However, Steven Greer ignored us, and declined to appear at the pre-conference panel discussion which we had been specifically invited to Barcelona to moderate. Disappointed, we attended his main conference presentation and heard him state explicitly (as he has done on many public occasions) that all the ET visitors were friendly.

In response to this, we made a statement on the 'What's New' section of our site, making clear our disagreement and that this unilateral position was, in our informed opinion, dangerous and premature. We had only weeks previously been explicitly told by Dr Pete Peterson that most ETs were friendly, but some were not, and that was the main reason why he continued to do work for the US Government. We spent two full days talking with Dr Peterson on this and other subjects: his statement was compelling to us, and rang true.

After we had stated our opinion on our site, we were approached by Dr Greer's PR representative and were informed that he would do an interview. What you see here was hastily arranged, for which we apologize. We needed to catch the moment while it was available.

What you will see in this 70 minute video is an impassioned, articulate and intelligent discussion which has as its central theme the most important question that may be faced by the human race: Can we trust ALL the visitors to Planet Earth? To risk a simplistic paraphrase, Dr Greer says Yes, and Project Camelot says Not Necessarily.

The debate is well-informed and vigorous. We thank Dr Greer for appearing with us, and he gave a good account of himself. And so did we. Enjoy... and we would like to emphasize again what we stated clearly in the video: that none of us can know with certainty the agendas of all the many visiting ET races, and to presume that one does may be irresponsible and premature. Now with Dr. Steven Greer under heavy fire, We have to be careful here.
He is being called a liar, a fraud, hoaxer, ect. On one hand I'm sure it is easy to want to beleive him.
On the other hand, we could take this leap of faith and agree with him completely to discover another dead end. I am seaching on others who claim to have made contact both through Dr. Greer and outside sources who claim to have done so independantly.

ET Disclosure before 2010 ?
Will we really have partial or even full disclosure this year - 2009?

I personally doubt it, although along with many others I feel something is in the air (literally and metaphorically!). My sense of self preservation is telling me not to expect disclosure, and after the failed predictions of disclosure of late I see no reason to artificially hike my hopes up.
President Obama has two choices on this matter. He either discloses, or he doesn't. Now, he may not be in the loop and hence not know about the presence of ET's, or he may be under orders not to disclose. All the ruminations of what where why and how still leave two options. Either Obama Discloses, or he does not.

I know one thing. Whether or not Obama knows or even can disclose, whatever our 'governments', corporations, military, and others may know about ET's, UFO's, ancient artifacts, earth history, ufo's, time/dimensional stuff, advanced technology etc. I know that I, as do all of you reading this, have a sacred right to also know. If this knowledge is being kept from you, it is simply wrong.

Whether hyperdimensional torsion field or galactic alignment, project bluebeam or j-rods, it seems everyone has an opinion or theory which validates there view (and they may be right). My view / opinion is simple. If there is knowledge of any of this known by people on this earth, the only right thing to do is share it with us all. Some things are just right or wrong. Not many, but some.

Mass UFO sightings across South America, Stunned residents report..

"A wave of mass UFO sightings across South America is currently occurring, leaving bewildered witnesses wondering if indeed beings from other worlds might be visiting Planet Earth. Stunned residents of towns and villages across Argentina, Peru and Chile as well as other nations have seen multiple objects ranging from mother ships to Cigar-shaped crafts over the last week alone. In at least one case a power outage accompanied such an event.

The event receiving the most publicity occurred in Salta, Argentina where at 2am on November 27 the city plunged into complete darkness as it suffered a total electrical failure. Phones stopped working and even taps ran dry. Allegedly intense heat engulfed the town and a huge mother ship type UFO was seen above the town studded with flashing lights.

It is claimed that the town electricity failed at the moment the UFO was seen to pass over the power plant. Hundreds of individuals witnessed this craft. UFO researchers and government authorities have descended on the area to investigate this incredible occurrence.

In Lima, Peru hundreds of witnesses also observed, in amazement, at least seven seemingly other-worldly craft moving across the skies above their city. However some witnesses and UFO researchers have suggested that these might have been air balloons.

In the town of Iquique in Chile a bizarre, glowing, multicoloured, cylindrical object was seen by residents last Friday. This object was also observed by dozens of locals who saw it vanish above cloud cover after moving over the city for at least half and hour. "
