While viewing a Documentary on the search for Atlantis this object caught my eye
what is it?
Especially #720
You have to see this to believe it.
It is 110 feet below the surface of the Atlantic ocean.

It looks like the top part of a statue (bust) of a man with a "headdress" or crown with the back drape over ear and neckline.. Look at the curves and angle of it as it comes off the forehead. There looks like there could quite possibly be a design in it. He is facing to the right. You can see a "neckline", prominent Chin. You can see the curve under the bottom lip. You can see the mouth. He appears to have a thick mustache. The small rounded nose (very distinct). Eyelids with slit visible, bushy eyebrow, forehead,

In New Hampshire there used to be a formation called "the old man of the mountain". Yeah from a distance it had the profile of a man. But as you got closer It looked nothing like one. What I see here is more like a "Mount Rushmore" type face. This is also not an object that is far away that may not appear the same when you get closer. These are close

It looks like a rock formation.  It could be a statue  covered in coral but one would need a lot of information before one stuck their neck out and gave a firm opinion.  Like location, depth, type of rock/coral in the area, is it in a shipping lane where stuff could fall off a boat, etc.

Thanks for sharing with us. That is, indeed, fascinating. It appears to be a reverse chevron-style mustache. Very interesting.

Carry on.

Out of all the treads that you've started vze39mpt I think that this one describes your find the best.
And out of all the pics that you've posted I think that this one is the best.

After looking at it for a while it began to look familiar, and then it hit me! it looks Assyrian or Babylonian, so after a little research I think that I may have come across something of interest.
What you have found may be a bust of the Babylonian God Marduk and if you’ve ever looked into the epic of Gilgamesh this might actually make sense.

Here is an image of Marduk, perhaps you can see the similarities.

If you want my advise, I would say use this thread  primarily for your research on this subject. You created this thread so you can post as much or as little as you like on it, it’s your thread after all Grin.   This is why I mentioned earlier that this thread best describes your find.

I personally look for the best category  that goes with my subject and post one thread on it and go with that.   It will show up in the new post’s section for everyone to see, so you don’t have to worry about getting everyone’s attention Smiley.

I hope this helps, and I hope I didn’t make it all sound too confusing

Just a note to help you out in case you don't know.

When you click on the word "home" in the bar at the top of the page, you will be at the home page with the listings of all the titles of threads.  If you scroll down that page, almost to the bottom, you will see an area that gives the names of everyone who has poked their noses in for a looksee, in small print.  Just above that list, you will see a small heading that says Most Recent Posts and also shows who is the most recent person to join.  Then it will also say  More Stats.  If you click on "Most Recent Posts", there will show 10 pages of the most recent posts and you can link directly from there to any thread that interests you.
