No - it's not a new forum rule or something.  No they don't have to explain why they post something.  But the PURPOSE would be to chat about it - have a discussion.  Whatever.

I'll start the discussion.  Some people view Tartessos as the basis for the Atlantis legend.  Allegedly, they had elephants, wealth and other things that Plato mentions.

I also read (though I don't know where this came from) that they have written traditions dating back to 9,000 bc., time of Atlantis.

I don't buy that Tartessos was Atlantis, perhaps it was a colony, though.
