I'm glad that you liked it, Bianca. It was painted in 1891 and, of course, depicts Circe offering a cup to Ulysses to bring him under her spell. 

Waterhouse has a great sense of expression and feelig, seldom seen in other artists..

Rockessence, it might interest you to know that this painting was entitled "Boreas."
