Distant Earthlike planets

European astronomers have announced the discovery of 32 additional planets beyond the solar system. One of these planets, shown here in an artist’s illustration, has a minimum mass of six Earths and tightly orbits the low-mass star Gliese 667 C. The host star is a companion to two other low-mass stars, shown here in the distance.
