Abdul Murad was arrested in Jan of 1995 by Philippine police. As this document shows he was interviewed by FBI agents on 4/13/95. No doubt he had already been visited by CIA officials. Where was he between Jan and April?......

"Abdul Hakim Murad's home for the following three months was a small and cramped cell inside philippine National Police Intelligence Command headquarters in Camp Crame. Murad was tortured for weeks as counterintelligence agents beat him with chairs and long pieces of wood. Water was forced into his mouth and lit cigarettes were extinguished on his genitals." As you can see, the FBI isn't interested in sharing what he told them.

But the people who arrested him called a press conference when 9/11 happened to tell what the FBI wont.....

Aida Fariscal had gone to bed early on September 11, only to be awakened by a frantic colleague. "Quick," he instructed, "turn on your television."

The footage of the hijacked airliner bursting into flame made Fariscal bolt upright. "Oh my God," she gasped. "Bojinka."

Sometimes weeks went by without her even thinking about the terrorist plot she had foiled so long ago. But there it was, after all this time, unfolding live on her small-screen television. "I thought, at first," she tells me, "that I was having a bad dream, or that I was watching a movie." But as the burning towers came crashing down under their own weight, disbelief turned to anger. "I still don't understand," she says over a club sandwich, "how it could have been allowed to happen."

She is bitter that the Americans apparently didn't take the foiled plot seriously enough.

....All those years in flight school, he confessed, had been in preparation for a suicide mission. He was to buy, rent, or steal -- that part of the plan had not yet been worked out -- a small plane, preferably a Cessna, fill it with explosives and crash it into CIA headquarters.

There were secondary targets the terrorist cell wanted hit: Congress, the White House, the Pentagon and possibly some skyscrapers. The only problem, Murad complained, was that they needed more trained pilots to carry out the plot.

"The FBI knew all about Yousef's plans," she says. "They'd seen the files, been inside 603. The CIA had access to everything, too. Look," she adds, fishing in a plastic shopping bag for one of her most prized possessions, a laminated certificate of merit bearing the seal of the Central Intelligence Agency.

"This should have never, ever been allowed to happen," she repeats angrily. "All those poor people dead."

In her outrage at the biggest U.S. intelligence failure since Pearl Harbor, Fariscal is not alone in the Manila law enforcement community. Gen. Avelino "Sonny" Razon, one of the lead investigators in the Bojinka case, was so shocked at what he saw on September 11 that he jumped on a plane in Cebu, where he was now police chief, and flew to Manila to convene a hasty press conference. "We told the Americans about the plans  to turn planes into flying bombs as far back as 1995," he complained to reporters. "Why didn't they pay attention?"

To be fair, it wasn't hijacked Airliners, but planes with explosives that were the plot 6 years before 9/11...........

"Though nothing in Murad's confession gave investigators any warning of hijackings, somewhere along the line, his brothers at arms in al Qaeda did make the intellectual leap from explosives to jet fuel and box cutters."

But it was a plot to fly planes into buildings. Buildings like the WTC, and Pentagon and CIA.

Another capture later, unveils more..........

It goes on and on about this Yemeni telephone contact. This from the trial going on in 2001 concerning the African Embassy bombings.

You see this is the telephone number of one of the hijackers of 9/11, Khalid Almihdhar. It's one of the main communication hubs and was being monitored by the NSA and CIA. They knew about this hijacker and his contacts, well before 9/11 and before he even came into the U.S.

The hub uses the telephone line of Ahmed al-Hada, who lives in Sana’a, Yemen.
http://www.historycommons.org/entity.jsp?entity=ahmed_al-hada

The hub is run by an al-Qaeda veteran named Ahmed al-Hada, who is helped by his son Samir and is related to many other al-Qaeda operatives in Yemen and elsewhere. He is also the father in law of 9/11 hijacker Khalid Almihdhar, whose wife, Hoda al-Hada , lives at the hub with their children.

Also living in the house was Hada's daughter, Hoda, along with her husband, Khalid al-Mihdhar.
http://www.denverpost.com/excerpts/ci_10814333

Late December 1999, Mihdhar was at the ops center when he received the phone call he had been waiting for. He and Hazmi were instructed to leave in a few days for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where their final, fatal mission to the U.S. would begin.

Also around this time is when the CIA also were monitoring Atta and the rest of the hamburg cell.....

HAMBURG, Germany _ Nearly two years before the Sept. 11 hijackings, the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency began persistent efforts to recruit as an informer a Syrian-born Hamburg businessman with links to al-Qaida and the key hijackers, the Chicago Tribune has learned.

The CIA's attempts to enlist Mamoun Darkazanli were initiated in late 1999, at a time when three of the four Hamburg students who would later pilot the hijacked planes were first learning of the hijacking plot at an al-Qaida training camp in Afghanistan.

In December 1999 the CIA representative in Hamburg, posing as an American diplomat attached to the U.S. Consulate, appeared at the headquarters of the Hamburg state domestic intelligence agency, the LFV, that is responsible for tracking terrorists and domestic extremists.

According to a source with firsthand knowledge of the events, the CIA representative told his local counterparts that his agency believed Darkazanli had knowledge of an unspecified terrorist plot and could be "turned" against his al-Qaida comrades.
"He said, `Darkazanli knows a lot,' " the source recalled.

It can be traced back to March of 1999 when the CIA first knew of the German cell.....

"Hamburg - The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had one of the September 11, 2001 terror pilots under surveillance as early as March 1999 after a tip from German security services, according to joint investigative reports in Germany.

The reports said the CIA had detailed information about Marwan Alshehhi, and the fact that he was from the United Arab Emirates and studying in Germany.

The CIA had his cellphone number and knew that he was in contact with Haydar, whom the Americans had suspected of being al-Qaeda's contact man in Germany."

Did the 9/11 commission know of this stuff? Of course they did.....

"In March 1999, German intelligence officials gave the Central Intelligence Agency the first name and telephone number of Marwan al-Shehhi, and asked the Americans to track him.

"The Hamburg cell is very important" to the investigation of the Sept. 11 attacks, Mr. Zelikow said. The intelligence on Mr. Shehhi "is an issue that's obviously of importance to us, and we're investigating it," he added.

Asked whether American intelligence officials gave sufficient attention to the information about Mr. Shehhi, Mr. Zelikow said, "We haven't reached any conclusions."

And yet the 9/11 commission report tells us on page 168.....Shehhi obtained his visa on January 18, 2000.

The CIA were already aware of his contacts with Muslim extrememist at this point, and were even told to track him by their counterparts in Germany.

You see, the others are also already being monitored in December of 1999 and this proves it.....

Once in Kuala Lumpur, the Al Qaeda operatives were photographed -- at the CIA's request -- by Malaysian authorities at a series of meetings.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/knew/could/

The men were followed at the request of the CIA. The Americans had intercepted a telephone call to Yemen in which Almihdhar detailed arrangements for the trip. The Americans didn't know Almihdhar, but they knew the number he called was used as a dispatch center for Al Qaeda. Bin Laden had called it dozens of times over a period of years in the late 1990s, according to court records....

The meeting occurred in early January 2000, just after a series of planned Al Qaeda millennium attacks failed. Intelligence officials believe the men met to discuss new attacks: the Cole and, given the timing, Sept. 11.

On Jan. 8, the men left Kuala Lumpur.

On Jan. 15, Almihdhar and Alhazmi arrived in Los Angeles
http://articles.latimes.com/2002/sep/01/nation/na-plot?pg=20

The CIA admits that it did not inform the bureau that after the Malaysia meetings ended, it tracked Almidhar and Alhazmi to Los Angeles. The CIA further admits that it failed to warn the INS or the State Department, and as a result, the men's names were not added to a terrorist watch list.

By March the NSA had been eavesdropping on their calls for months without passing on their location. They were living in the home of an FBI informant." Page 25-26

The attack can be stopped. But why stop it? It could be helpfull to certain entities.

Just after the 9/11 attacks the DoD released this report....

Quadrennial
Defense Review
Report

September 30, 2001

"The Quadrennial Defense Review and the accompanying report were
largely completed before the September 11, 2001 terror attacks on the
United States. In important ways, these attacks confirm the strategic
direction and planning principles that resulted from this review,
particularly its emphasis on homeland defense, on surprise, on preparing
for asymmetric threats, on the need to develop new concepts of
deterrence, on the need for a capabilities-based strategy, and on the need
to balance deliberately the different dimensions of risk. However, the
attack on the United States on September 11, 2001 will require us to move
forward more rapidly in these directions, even while we are engaged in
the war against terrorism."

"You hate to admit it, but we hadn't thought about this." - Richard Myers Joint Chief of staff
http://www.defenselink.mil/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=44621

"Five months before Sept. 11, 2001, an air defense planner proposed an exercise scenario in which military officials would have to deal with foreign terrorists who were threatening to crash a hijacked foreign commercial plane into the Pentagon, according to a North American Aerospace Defense Command spokesman.
But the scenario was rejected......
The employee, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, wrote that Joint Staff action officers rejected the idea as too unrealistic........
We believe the 9/11 Commission should ask the Joint Chiefs why they prevented NORAD from training to respond to the possibility that terrorists might hijack commercial airliners and use them as missiles, he said in a statement."

RICE: I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon; that they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile.

“The overwhelming bulk of the evidence was that this was an attack that was likely to take place overseas.”-- C Rice

Title of Aug 6 Memo Given to President Bush "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S."
http://slate.msn.com/?id=2066154

More lies.....The motive.....
We were attacked because they hate our freedom. No. It's because of Government interference. This is really insulting to our intelligence.

These guys made videos telling why they want to attack the U.S. and they all said the same thing. Because of our military presence in Arab countries and unwavering support for Israel, and Bush is going to prevent any type of real debate on real issues on what the Government engages in and instead  keep things simple and stupid. "They hate my freedom". What an ****.
