Save Twin Peaks
Save Twin Peaks Twin Peaks, WA

Six months after the announcement of Showtime's Twin Peaks revival in October 2014, with a third season set to air in 2016, it has emerged that David Lynch is no longer involved with the project due to issues with contract negotiations, although the fated third season may still go ahead. Without Lynch, however, there is no Twin Peaks.

With the scripts already completed and actors and fans alike eager for this to go ahead with Lynch at the helm, we are urging Showtime to give David Lynch the contract he is after, or let HBO, Netflix or another network give the world what it wants and save Twin Peaks.

#SaveTwinPeaks: Lynch & Frost

In October 2014, Showtime promised us #damngoodcoffee: nine new episodes of Twin Peaks written by David Lynch and Mark Frost, all directed by David Lynch. Six months later, David Lynch announced he left the project because Showtime would not offer the necessary means to give fans the continuation he envisioned.

The scripts are finished and Showtime could go ahead and produce the show. But without David Lynch, there would be no Red Room, no Giant in Cooper's room and not even a Killer BOB. None of these surreal key elements of Twin Peaks were originally scripted.

The fans are beyond excited to return to Twin Peaks, as long as it's with David and Mark's hands-on involvement and complete approval.

Let's join forces to get the #SaveTwinPeaks petition trending! And though the message is directed to Showtime —the ball appears to be in their court— it’s also a plea to David Lynch to keep talking and find a way back to Twin Peaks.

There's no town of Twin Peaks without the unique vision and style of BOTH of its founders.
