God's charriot throne as seen by Ezekiel needs to be compared with Daniel's vision of the one with white wool hair and beard. In both cases we see some part of his body was like white jasper from the middle up while is like red jewel from middle to the bottom and waterfall of fire comes out from the throne:

It seems the one at the throne changed position and gave the lapis lazuli blue or saphire throne to the one standing at his right (the Son) while he uses after the white throne.
