Oh sure it starts out that way but then they get more and more power then next thing you know we have a police state.

Better crack open a History Book there Byron.  

 

Dude, I have cracked a history book.  I know all about Hitler's rise, Mussolini's too, as well as Franco.  We had a police state under Bush, aren't you a little late with this patriotic outrage?  

How many of you raised any objections when Bush suspended habeas corpus?

How about when he first started rendition?

How about when he first started torturing people through the CIA?

Did anyone here say anything when they first saw the pix from Abu Gharib?

How about when he phonied the intelligence to get you into a war with Iraq?

How about when he wiretapped all your phones and started going through your bank accounts and your internet usage?

Even what library books you checked out?

See all those were real fascist policies that Bush actually impressed upon this country and most of your here never said a word.  So, excuse me if most here aren't impressed with your phony fears right now.
