Atlantean Past Lives

I thought that this might be an interesting subject to discuss for a while.
A lot of our information on Atlantis comes from the Edgar Cayce readings, in these readings he peered into the past lives of his patients and from what he saw painted a picture of Atlantis, thus bringing to life this ancient civilization.
Now the purpose of this thread is not to discuss Edgar Cayce, (Unless you really need to ;)) it’s to discuss reincarnation and past lives, a subject that I have noticed many tend to shy away from here at A.O.
I’m sure that there are a lot of us here who have either heard of an Atlantean past life, or we ourselves perhaps have experienced visions or flashbacks of that lost world, or maybe at one time or another have been regressed into a life that was lived in Atlantis.
I think it would be interesting to see what kind of information that we can gather together by either sharing our own personal experiences or by passing along those that we have heard about.
I’d like to keep this discussion positive, if that’s possible. I know that there are those here who don’t believe in reincarnation, and it is your right to believe that way, but there are also those who do believe, so let’s play nice and not belittle each others beliefs.
Alright now that all of that is said, I’ll start this whole thing off. I don’t know if I’ve told this story here before, if I have I apologize.
When I was a young child there was this little old lady who lived next door, she was like a grandma to me. One day she came over and was talking to my biological grandmother about something that she seemed very passionate about, so being the nosey kid that I was, I eavesdropped on their conversation, and what I heard changed my life forever and is the reason that I’m here talking about this today. She was telling my Grandmother that she had once lived another life in Atlantis, and that the last thing she could remember of that life was seeing a tidal wave hundreds of feet high crashing over her. She said that she had drowned, and it was this memory that kept her from ever going near water in this life.
This story that she told was etched into my mind, I never forgot it. At the time I didn’t even know what Atlantis was, but I soon learned and from that moment on I’ve been obsessed, it’s the reason that I’ve spent most of my life researching it.
Anyhow that’s one of my experiences, I now open the floor to everyone else.

Wow. I can't say just how many people I have talked to who have related the same experience and late refer to it as Atlantis. You know J.R. Tolkien had the same dream? Then, he wrote Lord of the Rings and it was said to stop.

But then say we remember Atlantis as if we were actually there.
It would be interesting to take 20 people aside who claim this, and one by one and ask them under hypnosis in a private interveiw. Then gather them together in one room and show them what they said.
Thats an easy experiment. Low budget....
Even those who say the same about other worlds for that matter would make for an interesting discovery of some form. Ask your selves the truth about what it is you really do see that feels like a memory or is in fact a memory recall. It would be fun to hear from some members here on this as well. I know something in all of us stirs when we think of Atlantis.

I didn't know that about Tolkien Courtney, when I read that it ran a chill up my spine. It is my personal belief that Tolkiens work was more factual than most people realize.
