And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells:

Then why would they state specifically that they are three thousand ells if it wasn't supposed to be a measurement of some kind?

I'm 189 cm tall, what is an ells ?

An ell is a unit of measurement, 45 inches long, or, in other words, nearly four feet long.

They were not... the Sumerian texts read that the Nefilim were "Descended from the sky."  meaning they came to Earth in spacecraft.  An archeologist not versed in aerodynamics would interpret this as "giants".

So please stop spreading this mis-translation.  A human body cannot support its own weight over eight feet tall.  Even people who are 7 feet have medical problems.

Remember humans are a result of Nefilim/Ape hybrids.

Which of the homos are you reffering too as an ape?
 ;)

This is important. A cycle emerges in everything.

Very funny, now can we have some real research done here?

Does anyone realize the implications of these creatures if they had actually existed?

Qoais:
Who got pregnant and bore giants?  How is a human woman supposed to bear a giant baby?  It would be the size of a baby elephant when it was born!!  Either that or they had magic steroids.

:)  Qoais brings up a very valid point here.  Either the babies of these 450 foot tall giants started out very small and grew incredibly fast, or the measurement is off somewhere.

Going right along with that quip, look what's happened to the meaning of a simple work like "gay" in just 50 years.  It's  totally changed it's meaning.  So then how are we to translate what the meaning of words that are thousands of years old, and then translate them?  Perhaps "ells" is mistranslated.  This seems to me to be the more likely circumstance.

Tradition has it that the Nephilim were about nine feet tall, and that the "Golliath" that David slew was a decendent of them.  We have basketball players almost that tall now!  Let's not forget that the average man was much shorter in ancient times.  Five feet was tall back then.   ;)

Qoais:
Anybody good at math here?  Take a ratio if you will - of today's standard height for a human, and the standard ceiling height for our houses.  Then find the ratio between the two.

Then, to find X (how tall the giants were) take the height of the ceilings in their buildings and use the ratio.  They would definitely be bigger than us, but not no 450 feet tall.

Even if you gave a bit on the side of grandeur.  Say they just liked ceilings to be really tall, why would they need super tall doors to access those buildings?

For example - Temple of Horus
