Hermes, Gateway of the Sun

 Smiley  That's very cool!

In 1971 the University of Pennsylvania had the first musical program which was able to notate music with a computer. It cost over a million dollars.  Today I could buy one for $30 which does much much more, and there are even free ones to download.  My son uses a program called Sebelius, (which costs over$500), and together with another musical instrument program, he is able to write full symphonic scores like Beetheoven, and listen to them played back on the computer with such realism that Beethoven would have to ask, "how did you fit the whole orchestra into that little box?"
These are marvels I could only dream of when I was a kid.  Who knows what lies ahead for the next generation of Beethovens.   Wink
