Should the kind and generous President Obama pass a temporary tax to support poor Latinos?  Such a tax would assist in good Latinos like Pablo and his family who are forced to return home because of the shameful state of the U.S. economy. If interested, please write your local government officials and President Obama to get this measure passed.

I urge all Americans to find charity in their heart to provide for the Mexican people.

I would like to stress that this would be a temporary tax, to help poor Latinos as we all wait for the North American Union to take place.

Americas' first duty is to all the poor Iraqis who their illegal war left as homeless, dead or grieiving dead relatives.  if they do not do anything for them, why would they do anything for their neighbors to the south?

Nahhh, sorry Jose, not behind it.  Mexicans need to start getting help from their own country.

Are you out of your gord? America can't support everyone, it's first duty is to it's own citizens!

Perhaps money can be sent directly to the Mexican people (not the government) to sustain them in this time of need?  If it went to the government, too, corrupt Mexican officials might appropriate such funds before they get to the needy Mexican families!

Why don't Mexicans have a civil war and take their country back.

Such a maintenence tax would be a good thing!

President Obama is looking to have national health care for all Americans.  Perhaps this tax could be used to cover all Mexicans as well..?  This way, when poor Latinos come to the emergency room, they are not billed.

That is one of the dumbest things I've seen on this forum.  If the Mexican people can't survive in their own country then they should make changes.  I'm sure this has been said over and over.  But if they're not willing to change their country then it should be left up to 'Survival of the Fittest.'

This is very good plan, Juan Catlos.  I would very much like the kind and generous American people to pay for my family.  How can we get such a wonderful thing passed?

It is a terrible idea.  The U.S. has too many of it's own problems to worry about Mexico's.  For once I'll have to agree with Volitzer.  Take back you country.  Stop begging.  I doubt a bill like that would ever get passed.  If it did our country would become more bankrupt than it already is.
