"Family Guy" took a spoof at the McCain-Palin ticket. In one scene three Nazis are walking down the street when they are accosted by Stewie and have their uniforms stolen. Stewie notices a campaign button on his new jacket, and a closeup reveals it's a McCain-Palin button.

'Family Guy' compares John McCain and Sarah Palin to Nazis

By CRISTINA KINON

The cast of 'Family Guy'
Fox's caustic animated comedy "Family Guy" is the latest show to wear its political leanings on its sleeve - and that has a few of its viewers up in arms.

On Sunday night's episode, show producer Seth McFarlane (who spoke at a rally supporting Sen. Barack Obama earlier this month) loosely compared Republican candidates Sen. John McCain and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to Nazis.

In one scene, characters Brian, Stewie, and neighbor Mort Goldman are transported back to Nazi Germany where they try to blend in by wearing uniforms of the Third Reich, one of which had a McCain/Palin button pinned to the lapel.

"Huh, that's weird," said Stewie, upon discovering the button.

Since hitting the airwaves - and YouTube - Fox has received "a few" calls from disgruntled viewers and voters.

Despite the minor fallout, the network is defending McFarlane's right to political humor.

"From its inception, 'Family Guy' has used provocative concepts and biting satire as the foundation of its humor," said a Fox spokesman told the Daily News. "The show is an 'equal-opportunity offender.'"

The "Family Guy" jab came just a night after Palin appeared on the highest-rated edition of "Saturday Night Live" in 14 years, when ice skater Nancy Kerrigan hosted.

Since she was named the Republican vice presidential nominee, Palin has become a lightning rod for sketch comedy shows and liberal-leaning commentators who have attacked her homespun stories and gosh-darnit approach to politics.

'FAMILY GUY' PUTS MCCAIN/PALIN BUTTON ON NAZI UNIFORM

Fox News
The animated sitcom "Family Guy" is no stranger to controversy, but on Sunday night the show went into uncharted territory as it seemed to weigh in on the presidential race by likening the McCain/Palin ticket to the Nazi party in World War II.

In the episode, two of the characters, Stewie (a talking baby) and Brian (a talking dog) are transported to Poland during the Nazi invasion of World War II. In one scene, the characters beat up and steal the uniforms of two Nazi officers. Stewie looks down at his Nazi uniform and notices a McCain/Palin campaign button attached to its lapel, remarking "Huh, that's weird."

The show's creator, Seth MacFarlane, is an ardent supporter of Barack Obama. MacFarlane has given thousands to the Democratic presidential nominee and the Democratic Party, and even spoke at an Obama rally in Ohio earlier this month.

In the past, MacFarlane has gotten into hot water for his skewering of several subjects, including actor and Scientologist Tom Cruise.

Republicans are so gullible that you could take a Hitler clone (Bush) and put him on the party ticket and get die hard party support.

Even tho their policies are so similar that any rational person would question it.

There not too much difference between NAZI and neocon {Republican} partisanship.
