Best video Evidence of an Alien
This photo was taken from a frame of a video called "UFOs: Fifty Years of Denial." The frame clip only lasted 3 seconds.

Best Evidence of a UFO
The most compelling piece of video evidence I have ever seen was shot in Israel in 1988. Photos of the craft can been seen at

. This craft, at the beginning of the video looked like the one at the top of the page at
www.ufodigest.com/video.html
, it then banked to the side and looked similiar to the photo on
www.ufodigest.com/photo/index.html
. It banked again showing its underside and is pictured to the left. I have never seen a video where the craft actually flew and banked repeatedly showing its configuration in various positions. The odd thing is the craft has been often photographed showing the round underside with the notches showing. This craft is definately unknown, but may be some type of experimental aircraft. Over the weekend I saw the Fox special - Best UFO Evidence Caught on Tape: Part II, and it was the craft shown here that has been seen on NASA as well as amateur videos.

The 1958 Trindade Island Brazil UFO was photographed while seen by more qualified observers than any other sighting: When ufologists and skeptics can't find strings, shadows or signs that a UFO photo is faked, they question the credibility of the photographer and witnesses. Trained observers -including pilots, ship captains etc- are generally considered good witnesses. It is the credibility of the 47 crew members on the deck of the Brazilian Navy ship "Almirante Saldanha" that makes the Trindade, Brazil UFO photos so interesting.
As part of its contribution to the 1957-58 International Geophysical Year, the Brazilian Navy set up a weather station on the small rocky island of Trindade, in the south Atlantic Ocean. In January 1958, observers began spotting unusual aerial activity visually and on radar. At noon on 16-Jan-1958, the UFO shown here appeared for a few seconds within view of the ship's company.
The crew onboard saw a grey object approach the island, fly behind a mountain peak and then do a acute-angle turn around and head back the way it came, disappearing at high speed over the horizon. Among those present was civilian photographer Almiro Barauna, who snapped a series of 6 photos in intervals of 14 seconds, of which 4 showed the UFO. After the ship returned to port, the photos, which had been developed on board in a makeshift darkroom, were turned over to the Brazilian Navy Ministry. Analysts determined the photos to be authentic and concluded they showed a diskoid object moving at 900-1000Km/hr.
According to Capt. Viegas, the object was like a flattened sphere encircled at the equator by a large ring or platform. In Barauna's words, "...it made no noise, although with the shouting of the people on the deck and the noise of the sea, I cannot be certain. It had a metallic look, of an ash color, and has like a condensation of a green vapor around the perimeter, particularly in the advancing edge. Its motion was undulating, like the flight of a bat." (today it's thought that the glowing "halo" around UFOs -which is also why they often appear as a "blob"/ball of light in the night with changing neon-like colors white/blue/yellow/red and "blurred"/fuzzy in photos- is due to the ionised air "plasma sheath" related to the flying saucers' flight mechanism. The absorption characteristics of the plasma can also partly account for the daytime hazy or smoky appearance of the atmosphere around the UFO. When the surrounding illumination is brighter than the plasma, the plasma absorption may be greater than its emission, making it look darker or hazy. Read info on UFO illumination and performance).
The photos were later released to the Press by the President of Brazil, Mr Joscelino Kubitschek. [full story, all 4 Trindade UFO photos, more, more2, more3]
Note: These photos are quite poor, overexposed and BW; there are many photos of multi-witness and well documented sighting stories over the past ~60 years. But I present this as a classic case, because it has 3 attributes: multiple witnesses, authenticity verified by Brazilian authorities and photos taken at a time when we can in retrospect be reasonably sure that no goverment had anything remotely similar. Pretty informal stuff' you have here' in Vancouver is a haven for ufo anomalies in the sky' I too encountered sites in the sky in day light also; it's shape was cigar shape and it seemed way the heck up there. And one or two sightings at night one sighting was at night it was a bright light over the ocean or bay and something bright red seemed to fall out of it and gone into the ocean or horizon I explained my brief encounters to Brian Vike at HBCC UFO Research He said Vancouver and B.C is a hot spot for ufo sightings, I met Brian when I was explaining my theory to him on my findings with my research on Oak Island.
I believe there something or some other intelligent life besides us' and exceeds are comprehension with a spiritual nature that makes them super intelligent. Telepathy may be one of there gifts?

Cigar shaped, well, how did it move..? Like a plane or in the zigzag fashion of a lot of UFOs? I'd like to hear more about your sighting and if anyone youy know saw something similar.

well it seemed up there and I couldn't see if it moved looked motion less funny, that when I saw these sightings I was stoped in a car? and it was still there for a few stops. and the other time was at the Canadian Boarder in the long lineup, I was reclined in my car and looking out the sun roof, and noticed the same anomaly as I saw before, then I saw other people out of there cars standing in the meridian gazing at the same thing. go figure...these were daylight sightings

It sounds like it was just hovering there in the sky, am I right?
Or did it move in a horizontal line across the sky?
Movement is very important when it comes to UFOs so let's be specific!
Also, was anyone else with you when you saw it?

the anomoly did not seem to move, it seemed higher up there way furhter than those transcontinetal commercial jets. yes there was someone with me...

Shag Harbour incident
The Shag Harbour Incident was the purported crash of an Unidentified Flying Object in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia in October 1967.
Initial events
On the night of October 4, 1967, at about 11:20 p.m. Atlantic Daylight Time, it was reported that something (later referred to as a UFO) had crashed into the waters near Shag Harbour, on Nova Scotia's South Shore. At least eleven people saw a low-flying lit object head down towards the harbor. Multiple witnesses reported hearing a whistling sound "like a bomb", then a "whoosh", and finally a loud bang. Some reported a flash of light as the object entered the water. Thinking that an airliner or smaller aircraft had crashed into the Sound next to Shag Harbour, some witnesses reported the event to the local Royal Canadian Mounted Police RCMP detachment.
The unknown object was referred to as a "UFO" in official Canadian government documents. A Canadian Naval recovery effort immediately followed, perhaps aided in part by the U.S. military. The event is sometimes compared to the Roswell UFO incident and Kecksburg UFO incident, two other alleged military crash-recoveries of a UFO.
Halifax Chronicle-Herald headline of Shag Harbor crash, Oct. 7, 1967The initial report was made by Laurie Wickens, a local resident, and four of his friends. Driving through Shag Harbour on Highway 3, they spotted a large object descending into the waters of the harbor. Other residents had seen the descent and agreed the object was about 60 feet long, angled downwards at 45 degrees, and initially displayed 4 or 5 flashing and glowing amber lights.
Attaining a better vantage point, Wickens and his friends could see an object floating 250 to 300 meters out to sea. Visibility was good – clear with no moon. At that time, the object only had a yellow light shining from its top side.
Wickens contacted the RCMP and reported he had seen a large airplane or small airliner crash into the Sound. Subsequent calls were received from Mary Banks on Maggie Garron's Point reporting similar information. Other residents also called in to report the incident, adding details about loud whistling noises and bangs. RCMP staff were dispatched to the site.

Search and rescue efforts
Assuming an aircraft had crashed, within about 15 minutes, three Mounties were at the scene along with multiple other witnesses, and observed a pale yellow or white light bobbing on the surface of the water. Concerned for survivors, the RCMP contacted the Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax to advise them of the situation, and ask if any aircraft were missing. Before any local effort at rescue could be made, the object started to sink and disappeared from view.
A rescue mission was quickly assembled. Within half an hour of the crash, local fishing boats went out into the Sound to look for survivors. At the location at which the object had sunk, an oily, yellow foam was observed on the surface, about 80 feet wide and half a mile long. There was a smell of sulfur in the air and bubbles rose from below the water as if something had recently sunk. No survivors, bodies or debris were located, either by the fishermen or by the Coast Guard vessel, which arrived about an hour later.
By the next afternoon, it had been determined that no planes were missing. Still searching, the captain of the Coast Guard vessel received a message from the Rescue Coordination Center that all commercial, private and military aircraft were accounted for along the eastern seaboard from Atlantic Canada down into New England.
Two days after the crash, the Rescue Coordination Center had assembled a team of Navy divers, who for the next three days combed the bottom of the harbor looking for the object. One local fisherman said he saw them bringing up aluminum-colored metal debris, although it was unclear if this had been actual crash debris. The final report said not a trace of the crash object had been found.

Supposed military expedition
Evidence later emerged from various military and civilian witnesses of a highly secretive military search involving a small flotilla of U.S. and Canadian ships about 30 miles to the NE of Shag Harbor near Shelburne (see map above), site of a top secret submarine detection base. According to one military witness, he was allegedly briefed that the object had been originally picked up on radar coming out of Siberia. After crashing in Shag Harbour, it traveled underwater up the coast and came to rest on top of the submarine magnetic detection grid near Shelburne. The ships were anchored there for a week, apparently in an attempt to recover the object. A barge was hurriedly brought in on which to place the object, with a likely cover story printed in the local newspaper to explain its presence there. (See press coverage immediately below.) Many photographs were taken by divers and some foam-like debris brought up. One American diver named "Harry" stated that the object wasn't from planet Earth. Another military witness claimed that there were actually two objects, one perhaps trying to assist the other. The naval search was suddenly called off on October 11. Coincidentally or not, that night a seemingly identical UFO was seen departing the area by witnesses near the original Shag Harbour crash site.
However, unlike the event at Shag Harbour, no official documentation has yet emerged to support witness stories of a second search near Shelburne.
