Hi Carolyn Silver,

I have been looking for similar Geomorphology between the Islands of Cabo Verde and Iceland/Greenland, actually i have quite a few aerial photographic details  (sponsored by WWF ) of some of the Islands. Why Greenland / Iceland weren't considered a part of the Macaronesia?

At this point i am not sure anymore if Cape Verde Islands are remnants of the last "break up", when Atlantis disappeared or if they are vestiges of the initial Pangea Continental split up, because in a certain way they could have been both.

I haven't found any artifacts, nor am i looking for any because if it was a part of the huge Island, it would have been the very Southerner "tip" and i understand that all Civilization that existed there lived far away from this specific spot where the islands split.

The Cape Verde Islands have a Terrestrial Surface of about 4000 km2 and it would be a waste of time to look for anything Man made in such a small area when you have plenty of material for grabs further North :-)
