Blue Hue points out that G. contradicted himself, and I think he even did it when he was arguing with me, by saying that the interpretation actually means "sea arm", or what perhaps we would call today, a long narrow gulf.  And I do think that shoal of mud is a bit of a problem, since it would take a lot of mud to fill the Atlantic to the point where they couldn't sail it anymore.  The whole Med. is a "sea arm" as far as I'm concerned, but back in those days, when Plato was FIRST referring to Atlantis, it's possible the land bridge to Sicily was still there, and Atlantis was actually built on that arm of land or very close to it.  Generations upon generations pass, and by the time we get to the story of Atlantis being covered in mud, there really isn't too many other places that could sink to cause this dillema.
The only other place of course, is Gibralter, but so far the searches and soundings haven't confirmed that.  There is a German team working on Malta, who have been there for some time, and of course, we all know there has been marvelous things found on Malta already.  It would be great Nikas, if you could come up with the $200,000 and of course the permission to check it out Smiley

The prehistoric temples of Malta are unique in all the world. They are the oldest standing stone structures which remain to us from ancient times. The temples date from 4000 - 2500 BC. They are older than Stonehenge, older than the Pyramids. Their architecture is beautiful and inspiring, their scale impressive yet human. Excellently preserved, they were covered with soil from early times and ignored by the long march of history. They were rediscovered and carefully restored by European and native Maltese archaeologists beginning in the 19th century. Because of their uniqueness and beauty, the major temple complexes are deservedly designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Nikas,

Well I finally finished reading the 40 pages of script you gave me. I hope you don't get upset but I thought it was a bit ridiculous and it seemed like a parody.

What do you mean, be more specific? This is not a comedy rather a DRAMA/ADVENTURE. So far over 1000 people read it and not a single person mention anything about comedy.
Anyway the script was rewritten all over again from the beginning and I am attaching the first hour of the movie in here. You can judge for yourself!

Hi nikas ,

Well what I meant was ,because the attempts to produce a dramatic effect seemed so formulaic and exaggerated it made it seem like a parody of a drama. Maybe it would work on screen ,I don't know, but my first impression was that it just seemed unreal, like a run of the mill sci-fi sketch. If there was some other element to it instead of building a dam of Gibraltar ,it might be ok.

Nikas, would you mind if I moved this topic to the Atlantis in Media section?  It would probably be "on top" for a longer time then, and thus, easier to find.

Well, the movie it’s about the Dam and not so much about Atlantis. Without the Dam you can’t have a movie. This project was proposed by SORGEL, a German architect since 1929. It’s not fantasy. Anyway, in terms of a story; it’s the modern version of the bible….

Morning Nikas,
I read over some of the script, and I've come across some links that will help you with it.  There are things I noticed that won't be acceptable when submitting a "Spec Script" to any Hollywood producer.  While I think the story has potential, these errors will hurt your chances unless you already have someone interested in it.
Links:
http://www.scriptfrenzy.org/    (recommended--this site comes around only once a year)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/filmnetwork/filmmakersguidewriting (recommended)
http://www.filmmaking.com/howtowrite.html
http://www.aaronshep.com/rt/Tips1.html
This site has a contest: http://www.scriptmag.com/
This is a "Spec Script" used as an example of proper formatting: http://www.ibiblio.org/cdeemer/specscript.htm

I certainly hope these help you get on the path that will get your story on the silver screen.

Blessed be,
Lynn
