Clinton supporters to stage '18 Million Voices' march
Posted: 08:55 PM ET

From CNN Associate Producer Martina Stewart

Sen. Clinton waved at supporters gathered in early June as she announced the suspension of her White House bid.
(CNN) – A grassroots organization of Hillary Clinton supporters has announced plans to march in Denver on the same day the New York senator is set to address her party’s faithful during the Democratic convention there.

The march will take place on August 26 and is being organized by 18 Million Voices Rise Hillary Rise. The march will be accompanied by a festival in downtown Denver and additional coordinated marches across the country on the same day.

Clinton, who garnered approximately 18 million votes in the long Democratic primary fight, is scheduled to speak at the convention on the 88th anniversary of the date American women were granted the right to vote.

Since Clinton announced the formal suspension of her presidential campaign, the Obama campaign has gone to great lengths to promote party unity. Clinton and Obama appeared together at a campaign event in Unity, New Hampshire; the Obama campaign recently announced that New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson will be holding two fund-raising events to help retire Clinton’s campaign debt; and Clinton is scheduled to campaign on Obama’s behalf in key states.

Obama, Clinton Joint Statement

Posted by KYLE TRYGSTAD
The Obama and Clinton press offices released the following statement tonight:

"We are working together to make sure the fall campaign and the convention are a success. At the Democratic Convention, we will ensure that the voices of everyone who participated in this historic process are respected and our party will be fully unified heading into the November election."

It's unclear exactly what this statement is in reaction to, but it's clear that some Clinton supporters -- and possibly the Clintons themselves -- are still not over the New York senator's nomination defeat. An article in this week's TIME magazine reports on that very subject.

Cafferty: Does Hillary want Obama to win?
Posted: 02:12 PM ET

From CNN's Jack Cafferty

Associates of Clinton's say she remains skeptical that Obama can win in the fall.
Hillary Clinton apparently hasn't gotten the message yet that it's over.

She's now trying to find a way for her delegates to be heard at the Convention, saying it will help unify the party. And, she hasn't ruled out having her name placed into nomination.

Clinton told supporters at a California fund-raiser last week that the party will come out stronger if people feel their voices were heard. She spoke of an “incredible pent up desire” on the part of her supporters, saying people want to feel like it’s “a catharsis” and then they’ll get behind Barack Obama. It’s beginning to sound like group therapy.
