Scientists to study “hole” in the Atlantic Ocean’s floor.

Posted on Tuesday 6 March 2007 by Dave Schumaker
I’ve seen a few articles popping up about this research trip lately. Yesterday, a team of 12 British scientists left the Canary Islands on a maiden voyage of a new research vessel, the RRS James Cook, to study an area near the Mid-Atlantic Ridge where a 7 kilometer thick section of the Earth’s crust is missing. In place of the missing crustal material is a 7 kilometer thick section of mantle material (the article doesn’t specifically say it, but it’s safe to say it’s peridotite), which scientists consider a geophysical anomaly.

Scientists suspect there are also two other spots in the area that have similar characteristics. The anomalous areas sit underneath 3,500 meters of ocean, obviously making it fairly difficult to study. This mantle material is irregularly shaped and encompasses an area of nearly 50 x 50 kilometers.

The study aims to accomplish a number of objectives, such as providing deeper insights into the chemistry of the Earth’s oceans, how the crustal material behaves under so much water, as well as supporting theories of how this mantle material came to exist in the spot in the first place.

Dear ........CAROLINE  SILVER,

Did you have time to FATHOM my last personal message to you ?

years ago I read, about skidmarks left by meteoric fragments from MARS

that Holes in Earth's crust are result of Methane hydrant explosions."
from  an article in the Nat. geograhic Magazine
they hit Earth just Prior to the Spreading of the Sea floor of Indian Ocean

The point is
that these skidmarks were continued accross the Oceans and mountains
and that lead to the conclusion that Mars once had met with a heavy
Moonlike object that had collided with it and torn out the iron core
and 1/3 of the oceanic crust surface( in my dissident " Bluehue" theory in 855 bc.

Austrian Engineer Otto MUCK already assumed that in 1965
when he searched the Carolinas meteoric" potholes" that were straightly aligned.

Why is this ONE hole of particular intrest ? how got the sediment disappeared ?
I haven't seen a midsection of that Hole can you provide on expert papers ?
otherwise this is just talk about thin air !

One wonders whether this Mars - Earth meteoric hit-event was the origin of the Asteroiids /band
which then could not have originated from an unformed Planet around Jupiter

Mars water or the Quartenary Lake dam BURST are responsable for the Sea-Level rise !
in the first case the bussiness of pumping the Saewater back into the table deserts
where it orginally came from would be the first panacea project that springs
to mind because water in the hot desert promotes local rain
since there are no mountains to divert it elsewhere
so pumping Seawater into desersts would climaticallyb mean a win- win situation
 Cry Shocked Cry

Wouldn't it indicate a point of impact from an object from space?

CLEITO,
like so MANY readers BEFORE You,
You have not nor read the previous message
or properly understood  What you replied to:

Holes fill with sediment and impact hole do too,
but Hydrate-GAS-Explosion holes do not,
BECAUSE they are SEALED off get it ?
THAT'S WHY A SIMPLE MESSAGE ABOUT SEA- FLOOR" HOLES" is INCORRECT   Cry  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Cry
