Rachel, I am not much for fiction, never was.  Sorry!  Although I did read The DaVinci Code.
There was no prayer of getting it from the library and I was too curious to see whatever every-
body was raving about.  So I bought a copy.  I really prefer Agatha Christie........

Harry, I am not for tea either - how about a nice cup of espresso with......horrors, a cigarette
for me.  It's a 'generational thing', you see......

Bianca,
I'll take some espresso & a cigarette. Let's go sit on the porch and shoot the bull!  While we're shooting the bull, we can talk about this fiction thing.
XOXO

I thank you all.

Really though, it's no big deal.  I am physically impaired and I am the one who is grateful that
I have the opportunity, in my 'golden years', of doing something I really LOVE.

As for AR, except for the GREATS who were already gone, this is BETTER.

We have given this place a better 'feeling', a more decidedly OPEN one.

Except for the present (Upcoming Election).

I was thinking the last few days that we seem to resist any manner of extremism here, especially in
the religious context.  We don't seem to even answer  threads that have even a whiff of fanaticism.
We let those threads just 'dry on the vine'.  The 'known' fundies don't hardly bother coming here
anymore.....That's AWESOME......

Ah, Lynn, if we didn't live across the state from each other and I on your side, we could
'puff away' and plot and connive about getting those underwater pyramids discovered.....
And about the 'fiction' thing, maybe I could supply you with some 'imaginings' I have had.....

While I DO love living by the water, I get no 'feel' for the Gulf.  Now, the Atlantic is another story,
especially where you are. Totally inspiring for me, it must be

Congrats, Bianca!  That is one terrific achievement.

Say, what underwater pyramids off the coast of Florida are you talking about anyway, where they at exactly?

This power came forth out of the Atlantic Ocean. But afterwards there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of the sea.

Desi!!!

It's so good to 'see' you, I have missed you!

Have you heard from Greg Little lately?

According to Lynn, there have been sightings of pyramids where she lives on the East Coast
of Florida.  I think it's part of the sightings that Charles Berlitz talks about.  She mentioned
them a long time ago.  When she found out  I was in Florida too, she thought we could do
something about it together.  Well, unfortunately, I am on the Gulf of Mexico and, much as I
would love to do some scuba diving, this old body of mine wouldn't permit it.....

Darn, my timing has always been off.......

Thank you for the compliments.

Hugs,
b

Aren't there supposedly some pyramids off of Vero Beach?

Congratulations, Bianca, you come up with some of the best stuff!

Bianca,
I'm always up for a trip to the west coast!  I love the beaches over there.  We have a friend who has a beach house over there and it's so peaceful when we go visit him.  Smiley

As far as the pyramids off Florida (Vero Beach & Ft. Pierce) goes, I think Greg said they've checked them out and they appear to be nothing more mundane than sand mounds.  Oh well.   Roll Eyes  I still wonder though where Dr. Brown saw the pyramid he supposedly swam into.

Blessings,
Lynn

Guys,

I am having problems with my computer ONLY HERE:

All the buttons are blank except for a tiny red check mark.  I finally, very faintly  was able to see
the reply word etc. at the top of the page, so now I can at least post this S.O.S.

I have been having great problems just here the last few weeks.  I have a sneaky suspicion that
McAfee is "acting up".  Before I call them and make a fool of myself, any suggestions?

If nobody can help me, please report this post and maybe one of the Mods can help me.

Thanks,
b

Oh, great!

After two hours of this 'stuff', I finally saw the faint, white reply word at the top of the page,
post the above, and

everything is A Okay!

                                                         DAMN MACHINES

thanks, anyway, guys!

 Grin

(ducks)

Kidding.....

Bianca, do a hard shut down (turn off surge protector). wait a couple seconds and turn your computer back on. Once the monitor starts showing signs of the restart, hold down your space bar for about 7-8 seconds. The computer will open in DOS mode and you can go back to the last good configuration on your computer. This should enable windows to open the programs the way it did verses the way it is now.

(XO) good luck dear and if you end up doing this, I hope all goes well.

(P.S. I'm not a microsoft tech so please no law suits. LOL)

Thanks, HFN!

It's fine now.  I'll keep that in mind.

McAfee has been interfering a lot lately and we can't find out why.
Somehow, it does not like me posting here.  Nothing happens anywhere else.....

Oooooh, little 'spirits' in my machine.  Do you think maybe an exorcism would work? LOL.....

My computer is barely one year old and I still have a warranty.  So I am not really worried.

Hugs,
b

Just annoyed.

Actually, I was having the same problem a little earlier, but it did correct itself after a bit.

Glad to hear that, Q.  Now I don't feel so stupid.  Talking of which, you'd think I'd know this site
like the back of my hand, right?

Well, not so.  I spend time last night and this morning looking for the AERONAUTICS/AIR FORCE
section.  I know there is one, because I posted a few threads on it re HISTORY OF FLIGHT.

Well, today is the anniversary of Wiley Post's first flight around the world and I wanted to link to
it in Today in History.  Can't find it.  And the search engine doesn't like ME.

Any help?
