GREECE                                                                                              continued

"........Min-erva founded Athens, shortly after the Mycenae sacked Troy
(probably c.1250BC) and before the Dorians invaded from the north and
founded what has come to be known as historical Greece.  Therefore,
the people from the sunken land beyond the Pillars of Hercules must
have been the Frisians who founded Athens.

No doubt Egyptians - a branch of Finda's people - did flee across the
Mediterranean to proto-Greece when the Nile delta was flooded.

But stories of (a) the deluge and (b) the tall race of Frya's people who
colonized Greece, undoubtedly became muddled over the centuries.  The
OERA LINDA BOOK goes on to relate later how Cecrops, the son of a
Frisian girl by an Egyptian priest, brought wild Finda soldiers and drove the
Frisians from Athens."

May we, therefore, assume that Plato's "Atlanteans" who waged war on
the Athenians and were defeated were none other than the Frisians?  The
facts would certainly seem to fit.

The character of Cecrops also appears to have mythic associations.  The
Spanish psychologist J.E. Cirlot, commenting on the cult of the "hero", re-
fers to Cecrops as being "half man and half serpent", a legend which was,
no doubt, based on someone's assessment of his character, serpents
being associated with both cunning and wisdom.
