In the centre of the Northern face of Djedefre's Pyramid a shaft has been cut into the bedrock to
form the internal passages. It slopes down into the Pyramid at an angle of 22° 35'.

At some point after Djedefre's Pyramid was finished it was broken into and robbed.

The photograph shows the remains of the robbers tunnel now forming an arch as
the surrounding stone has been quarried away.

The tunnel continued into the bedrock in front of the arch.

The Burial Chamber of Djedefre's Pyramid shows signs of mortar on the walls and was probably lined
with granite.

Remains of granite pieces suggest that it had a gabled roof similar to the Queen's Chamber in the
Great Pyramid.

A recess at the back held the sarcophagus.

Just in front of the East face of Djedefre's Pyramid is a boat pit.

It was in this pit that the famous quartzite head of Djedefre was found

In the South West of Djedefre's Pyramid enclosure are the remains of a satellite Pyramid.

Djedefre's Pyramid had one of the longest of all the causeways of any Pyramid.

It runs at an angle from the North side of the Pyramid enclosure and heads North East
towards the Nile.
