The red ochre cannot be dated. The binder the Egyptians used in the fourth dynasty was not organic.
However, the mortar from the pyramid has been dated. 64 samples were taken, all of which date the pyramid to the Old Kingdom. Nearly 100 other c-14 samples were taken on the plateau surrounding the GP, and they all confirm the chronological sequence Egyptologists have attributed to the monuments at Giza.
