Title: Clive Barker's Hellraiser
Post by: inca on February 05, 2007, 09:03:27 am
I found interesting he used the idea of Pandora's box ( a Tesseract or Hypercube) in which demons (called Cenobites, a name taken from ancient monks!) are somehow trapped. This is like old myths are saying again and again. The Djiing trapped in Aladin's lamp were evil and not like Walt Dinsey animated version depicts.

Ooops! I mispelled Disney!
Now, go and rent Cube II, Hypercube and think about it. Meanwhile I will show you surreal art made by Salvador Dali, Christus Hypercubus:

Hellraiser!

One of my favorite movies. They are remaking it now, incidentally, with Barker doing it again.

Yes, the box does resemble the myth of Pandora's Box:
