TUTANKHAMUN's wet nurse (Maia?)
Tomb of King Tut’s wet nurse found near Cairo. French archeologists announced Sunday they have found the tomb of the wet nurse of King Tutankhamen, the boy pharaoh. Archeologists say that hieroglyphics and a relief showing a woman with breast and nipple exposed pay tribute to Maya – the servant who suckled the boy king. So far, archeologists have not found any gold or funeral objects in Maya’s coffin. Archeological team leader Alain Zivie found the tomb in Saqqara. The city was a burial site for the courtiers and high-ranking officials of ancient Egypt’s new kingdom, which prevailed from 1400 B.C. to 1100 B.C. Maya’s memorial is dated 1330 B.C.

Yea, I know, Rocky.

They are two-row urls and I can't seem  be able to do it.  I didn't want to bother any
body over the week-end, so I left them like that.  I'll track them down when Elric tells
me how to go about it.  Then I'll post them.
Hugs,
B

Hi Bianca,

Nice pictures.  I fixed the two that didn't come up for you. Michelle had one that didn't come up today, too. The easiest way to deal with pictures when you have those long url addresses is to simply drag your cursor across the entire URL, highlighting it, then simply hitting the "picture" button.  It takes seconds,  you'll get the hang of it.

Very nice work in the forum with the pictures, by the way.  I wouldn't have found half of them myself, you are very resourceful.

Elric

Yes, great pictures, Bianca.

Google is currently working with some universties to add their libraries to the internet which will make the internet an even better resource.  You mentioned libraries.  Imagine if you could access all the best libraries of the world simply from your home computer, even the rare books sections.  We've certainly come a lomh way from where the internet first started.  Even the forums we are posting on have made great advances in technology from where they once were.

“A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious, but it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is formidable, for he is known and carries his banners openly against the city, but the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through the alley and heard in the very halls of government itself. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.”
Cicero
