There exist living descendants of Charlemagne. I start the list with bishop Arnulf of Metz (first generation), continue with Charlemagne (sixth generation), William the Conqueror (17th generation), and end with several present kings and queens.
Among them are Queen Elisabeth II of Great Britain, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, King Harald V of Norway, Queen Margarete II of Denmark, and King Felipe VI of Spain. I add also Ernst August, the Prince of Hanover and Duke of Braunschweig-Lüneburg. The following list includes the wikipedia links.

Thank you for sharing that with us, Dr, Kuhne, genealogies are certainly a lot of work.

Any new developments on your discovery in Spain?

Most of the information I have about the archaeological expedition in the Donana National Park is confidential. I can refer you only to my  preprint http://vixra.org/abs/1104.0035 and to the book of Prof. Richard Freund, who was a leading member of the expedition. Digging Through History. Rowman and Littlefield, 2012.

Now to the descendants of Charlemagne.

This line (line A) starts with bishop Arnulf of Metz, continues with the Carolingian dynasty, the Counts of Flanders, the House of Welf, and finishes with Ernst August Prince of Hanover and Duke of Braunschweig and Lüneburg.

Moreover lines A and B are connected. Adele of Vermandois, the daughter of Herbert II (B11), married Arnulf I (A11) and bore Baldwin III (A12). Matilda of England, daughter of Henry II (B20), married Henry the Lion (A18) and bore Wiiliam of Winchester (A19).
